Frequently asked.
How long does an install take?
Most single-camera installs take about 45–60 minutes. Dual-channel setups run about 60–90 minutes depending on the vehicle. Multi-channel builds with parking mode can take up to two hours. We'll give you a time estimate when you book.
Do you drill into the car?
No. We route every cable through existing pathways — headliner, A-pillar trim, door jamb seals, and under dash panels. Everything is tucked and secured with no drilling, no cutting, and no permanent modifications to your vehicle.
What dashcams do you recommend?
We install most major brands: Viofo, BlackVue, Thinkware, Garmin. For most people, we recommend the Viofo A229 Pro (front + rear 4K) for the best value, or the BlackVue DR970X if you want cloud features. We're happy to help you pick — just call us at (908) 320-6385.
Can I supply my own dashcam?
Absolutely. If you already own a dashcam, we'll install it for the same price. Just make sure it comes with all the hardware (mount, cables, SD card). If anything's missing, we can usually source it.
What's a parking-mode hardwire?
A hardwire kit connects your dashcam directly to your car's fuse box so it can record while the engine is off. It includes a voltage cutoff to protect your battery. This is how you get 24/7 recording — catching hit-and-runs, break-ins, or anything that happens while you're parked.
